Here are the poems I read via Zoom at the West-East Bicoastal Poets of the Pandemic and Beyond reading on May 19, 2024:

“Valentine for LaWanda”
“Falling in Love at the YMCA Pool”
“Crossing the Lagoon”
“Honeymoon in Venice”
“Listening to A Love Supreme
“E Pluribus”
“Poised”
“Beginning with a Line from Turgenev’s On the Eve

Carolyne Wright began the reading by introducing my wife, LaWanda Walters, who read four poems: “Morning in Key West,” “My First Orgasm at Main Street Baptist Church,” “Woodcut,” and “Her Art.” Then Carolyne introduced me, and all of the poems I read involved LaWanda. We were followed by two other poets: Peggy R. Ellsberg and Kai Coggin.

Here’s a YouTube link to the reading (with LaWanda and me reading first): “W E Poets of the Pandemic & Beyond 5 19 2024” . LaWanda’s reading starts at 6:26. Mine starts at 21:45.
